Abstract

A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which enables a higher stability under high-temperature conditions while retaining and/or improving the humidity resistance is described, which comprises: an acrylic polymer, and a poly((meth) acrylic acid); wherein a content of poly((meth)acrylic acid) is between 2.5 parts by weight to 10 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of solid matter of the acrylic polymer; and wherein the acrylic polymer has been prepared by emulsion polymerization in the presence of a reactive surfactant in the amount of 1.25 parts by weight and less than 2.0 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by total weight of the monomers constituting the acrylic polymer. In further aspects, a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet or tape comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed from the aforementioned pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is described.
