Abstract
A method of QRS complex detection in an electrocardiogram signal (ECG) consists in receiving the ECG signal obtained by means of a measuring module ECG MODULE, wherein a processed signal Y_PREPROCESSED is compared to a threshold TH_PREPROCESSED by means of a COMPARATOR, and when the threshold is reached, a time window for searching for the R-wave in the QRS complex of the ECG signal is started to be measured. During the time window a maximum value of the signal Y_PREPROCESSED is detected and stored. The method is characterized in that additional modules PULSE EXTENSION, REFRACTORY WINDOW PULSE GENERATOR, EXTREMA MODULE, FACTOR MODULE, TH FACTOR MODULE, FACTOR MEMORY and FACTOR SELECTOR are used, which enable more reliable R-wave detection even in the presence of noise or interference by detecting how distinct local extreme the considered sample of the ECG signal is against the neighbouring samples.
