Abstract

The present invention provides a device for dispensing a tissue adhesive, said device comprising an outer body made of a flexible material, a monomeric and/or polymeric composition arranged inside said outer body, an applicator tip removably attached to said outer body and at least one porous element comprised inside the applicator tip and having an activator solution arranged thereon and/or therein. The present invention also provides a method for activating electron-deficient olefin monomers, such as methylene malonate monomers. The method comprises providing a monomer formulation comprising at least one electron-deficient olefin monomer; providing at least one porous element having an activator solution therein; and forcing, at least once, the monomer formulation through the at least one porous element to contact the activator solution.
