Abstract

The present invention relates to seat rails. In order to provide improved seat mounting options, a seat rail (10) for mounting passenger seats in an aircraft is provided. The seat rail comprises a longitudinal rail body (12) with a first horizontal flange member (14); and a vertical web member (16) protruding perpendicular from the first horizontal flange member. The first horizontal flange member is configured for attaching floor panels to the first horizontal flange member at least on one side of the vertical web member. The vertical web member is configured for mounting aircraft passenger seats. The vertical web member comprises an upper edge (18) and a plurality of horizontal through holes (20) in the vertical web member arranged in a regular pattern. The plurality of through holes is configured to receive locking members for releasably mounting seat fittings to the upper edge of the vertical web member.
