Abstract

The invention concerns a retrofit insulation strip configured for retrofittingly insulating an uneven gap between a frame and an element such as a door or window which is pivotably suspended therein. The retrofit insulation strip comprises an elongate carrier with a groove which extends in a lengthwise direction of the elongate carrier and an elongate flexible element. This elongate flexible element comprises an attachment part which extends in a cross direction relative to a lengthwise direction of the elongate flexible element and is arranged or arrangeable in the groove of the elongate carrier, a tube part which is connected with the attachment part and which defines a first hollow space which extends in the lengthwise direction of the elongate flexible element and further a first removable cap part which is connected with the tube part and which defines a second hollow space which extends in the lengthwise direction of the elongate flexible element between an inside of the first removable cap part and an outside of the tube part.
