Abstract

A method of operation is provided during which a fuel-water mixture is directed within a first passage (114) of a fuel injector (79) to a first passage outlet (124) of the fuel injector (79). The fuel-water mixture includes liquid water and gaseous fuel. The fuel-water mixture is injected into a combustion chamber (42) through the first passage outlet (124). The combustion chamber (42) is within a combustor (66) of a turbine engine (22). A fuel-air mixture within the combustion chamber (42) is ignited. The fuel-air mixture includes the gaseous fuel.
