Abstract

The present teaching reduces damage while achieving downsizing of a drive system for a clutch. This straddled vehicle includes an engine, a transmission device, a clutch, a clutch motor, a rotary output shaft, a potentiometer, a link mechanism, and a control device. The control device performs inspection drive to drive the clutch motor in a direction toward a position corresponding to a movable limit position beyond a connection position in the clutch until rotation of the clutch motor is stopped, thereby causing a pressure plate to move through the link mechanism including an adjustment mechanism, after the straddled vehicle is turned on and before the straddled vehicle starts traveling, and restricts the straddled vehicle from traveling if a positional signal outputted from the potentiometer when the rotation of the clutch motor is stopped indicates a position outside a range corresponding to the movable limit position.
