Abstract

An electrical control system (1) for an electric vehicle charger (2) is specified, comprising - a first contactor (5) connected to a first electrical conductive line (7) of a first type, - a second contactor (6) connected to a second electrical conductive line (8) of a second type, and - a circuit protection means, wherein - the first contactor (5) and the second contactor (6) are configured to be provided between a power source (4) and a charging cable (3) connectable to the electric vehicle, and - the circuit protection means is provided to at least one of the first contactor (5) and the second contactor (6). Further, an electric vehicle charger is specified.
