Abstract

The present invention relates to a sensor for a wearable part of a tool system and methods for transmitting data within the tool system. The sensor is attachable to the wearable part and comprises means to send data to a permanent part of the tool system. The wearable part, designed to machine a workpiece, can be exchanged when worn, while the permanent part remains intact. The sensor enables the wearable part to function as an loT device and incorporates an energy harvesting unit. Various methods are described for transmitting data, detecting wear, stress, misuse, water contact, rotational speed, and more. The permanent part can adjust working parameters based on data received from the wearable part, enhancing performance and efficiency.
