Abstract

Disclosed is a dosing tool and a dosing system comprising a plurality of dosing tools. The dosing tool is configured for aspirating or dispensing a sample. The dosing tool comprises a housing unit comprising a channel having a distal opening and a proximal opening, a piston having a distal section and a proximal section, wherein the piston is configured to slide inside the channel, a driver unit comprising a drive for rotating an output shaft, and an engagement unit driven by the output shaft. The engagement unit is engaged with at least a part of the proximal section of the piston for sliding the piston inside the channel when the output shaft rotates for aspirating or dispensing the sample and wherein the engagement unit is positioned on the output shaft.
