Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an image display apparatus. The image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a display; a signal processing device configured to output an image signal to the display; and a power supply including a converter configured to supply a display driving voltage to the display, wherein the converter is configured to: output a display driving voltage of a first level based on a first mode; output a display driving voltage of a second level higher than the first level based on a second mode; and change a reference level for overcurrent protection based on the first mode or the second mode. Accordingly, heat generated by circuit elements in the converter may be reduced.
