A sander, includes a housing, the housing including a housing top, a housing bottom and a contraction portion arranged between the housing top and the housing bottom; a base plate assembly, including a base plate; a driving assembly, including a motor, the motor being used to drive the base plate; and an illumination device, comprising a light-emitting portion. The light-emitting portion is arranged in the housing and located above the contraction portion, and the base plate is within an illumination range of the light-emitting portion.
