Abstract

The present invention describes a system (400) designed for retrofitting power cables in erected wind turbines. The system comprises several components to facilitate the installation process. The retrofit power cable hanging unit includes a series of T-shaped brackets (494) and inclined T-shaped brackets (495) mounted on a flange (490) of the wind turbine using bolts. These brackets are connected to plates (470) through turnbuckles (480) on one end, while the other end allows for the attachment of wire ropes (410) through clamps (420, 420'). The turnbuckles provide tension to the wire ropes. Additionally, hoisting winches are mounted on a tower section of the wind turbine to assist in pulling the power cables.
