Abstract

Circuit card assemblies (500, 600) may include an enclosure, first and second circuit boards (504, 506) installed, and a standoff (300; 405; 516; 604) for mounting the first and second circuit boards (504, 506) within the enclosure. The standoff (300; 406; 516; 604) includes a support body (302; 410; 520; 612) extending between the first and second circuit boards (504, 506) and has a first end and a second end. The first end is proximate the first circuit board (504) and the second end is proximate the second circuit board (506). A threaded portion (304; 518) extends from the first end and passes through an aperture (514) of the first circuit board (504). An internal bore (312; 524; 614) is defined within the support body (302; 410; 520; 612) and includes an opening at the second end of the support body (302; 410; 520; 612). A sleeve (310; 414; 528; 616) extends from the second end of the support body (302; 410; 520; 612) and has an opening aligned with the opening of the internal bore (312; 524; 614). The sleeve (310; 414; 528; 616) extends into an aperture (534) of the second circuit board (506) with a support shelf (308; 412; 526; 618) defined around the sleeve (310; 414; 528; 616).
