Abstract

A fibre-reinforced thermoplastic unidirectional (UD) tape comprising a thermoplastic matrix material and unidirectionally aligned reinforcing fibres dispersed within the thermoplastic matrix material, wherein the thermoplastic matrix material comprises one or more aliphatic polyketones (POK) and/or one or more aromatic polyetherketones (PEK). A method of manufacturing a fibre-reinforced thermoplastic UD tape, a use of the fibre-reinforced thermoplastic UD tape for a reinforced thermoplastic pipe (RTP) and a reinforced thermoplastic pipe (RTP) comprising from the centre to the periphery a thermoplastic inner liner, a reinforcement layer comprising the fibre-reinforced thermoplastic UD tape, and a thermoplastic outer jacket.
