Abstract
An electric vehicle (1) comprises a frame (2) supporting at least one wheel (3, 4), and an electric motor (5) arranged for driving the wheel (3, 4). The electric motor (5) comprises a stator (6) having a plurality of stator coils (7), and a rotor (9) arranged rotatably with respect to the stator (6) and drivingly connected to the wheel (3, 4). The electric vehicle (1) further comprises a battery (12) and a motor controller (11), which connected to the battery (12) and the electric motor (5), for controlling the current in the stator coils (7). The motor controller (11) is configured in a first motor operating mode to supply current to the stator coils (7) for inducing a rotation of the rotor (9) for driving the wheel (3, 4). According to the invention the motor controller (11) is configured in a second motor operating mode to supply current to at least one of the stator coils (7) suitable for inducing a vibration of at least one of the stator coils (7) or the rotor (9), without inducing a rotation of the rotor (9) for driving the wheel (3, 4).
