Abstract

The present invention relates to a valve for a mass transfer contact tray comprising a central portion and two leg portions, wherein the central portion is - seen in the cross-section of the valve - non-planar and comprises a front edge, two side edges and a rear edge, wherein a first of the two leg portions is connected at least partially with the front edge of the central portion and extends with a first inclination angle towards the base plane of the central portion downwardly, wherein the other, second leg portion is connected at least partially with the rear edge of the central portion and extends with a second inclination angle towards the base plane of the central portion downwardly, and wherein the first inclination angle is different to the second inclination angle.
