Abstract

Method for operating a user equipment with a radio access network of a mobile communication network, the radio access network comprising at least one base station entity and the user equipment, being aboard of or corresponding to an aerial vehicle, is connected with, or served by, the at least one, or serving, base station entity for the transmission of data-- in downlink direction from the serving base station entity towards the user equipment, and-- in uplink direction from the user equipment towards the serving base station entity, wherein in order to assure that a specific mobile radio carrier or frequency range is able to be used - with regard to or by the user equipment and due to the user equipment being aboard of or corresponding to the aerial vehicle - the method comprises the following steps:-- in a first step, a detection, by the serving base station entity or by the radio access network, occurs that the user equipment is aboard of or corresponds to the aerial vehicle, and-- in a second step, the specific mobile radio carrier or frequency range is used with regard to or by the user equipment.
