Abstract

A curable composition is described, where the composition comprises, consists essentially of, or consists of a monomer of Formula (1) and a monomer of Formula (2), wherein a molar ratio of the monomer of Formula (1) to the monomer of Formula (2) is at least 1.5:1 and wherein the curable composition is substantially free of water. Also described is the cured composition, a substrate coated by the curable composition and a process for preparing the monomers of Formula (1) and Formula (2). The curable composition is useful to serve as a coating for a battery, especially for the external surface of a battery.
