Abstract

Oxidizing compositions for oxidatively changing the color of keratin fibers, in particular human hair, are described. Said oxidizing compositions comprise, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, based on the total weight of the compositions: (a) about 0.1-30 wt.% of hydrogen peroxide, (b) about 0.1-50 wt.% of at least one natural oil or fat; and (c) about 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one particular synthetic phenolic antioxidant agent. These oxidizing compositions are stable and can be used in ammonia-free hair dyeing, remaining at least as effective as ammonia compositions in terms of the dyeing power obtained, the chromaticity, the uniformity of dyeing along the fiber, for dyeing processes, and in terms of the lightening and the uniformity of this lightening, for lightening (bleaching) processes.
