Abstract
The invention is directed to a method for acquiring image data from a part of the human body subjected to a cardiac movement. The method comprising the steps of (a) transmitting a radiofrequency Tx Pilot Tone signal; (b) Receiving a Pilot Tone signal (108) comprising several channel signals (102); (c) Carrying out a blind source separation algorithm (122) on a training portion of the Pilot Tone signal and thereby determining weighting vectors (V)); (d) Selecting and storing at least two non-parallel weighting vectors (V) which allow to extract signal components (123), which represent cardiac movement, from the several channel signals; (e) Applying the weighting vectors to the further portions of the Pilot Tone signal (102) to obtain a multi-dimensional Pilot Tone signal (126) representing the cardiac movement, and (f) Using the multi-dimensional Pilot Tone signal (126) for triggering the acquisition of the image data.
