Abstract

A polycarbonate composition includes: a homopolycarbonate; a polycarbonate including repeating units derived from a monomer including a pendant ester group; an elastomer-modified graft copolymer including an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer, an aromatic vinyl copolymer including a styrene acrylonitrile copolymer, or a combination thereof; a non-fluorinated flame retardant, optionally, a poly(carbonate-siloxane), and optionally, an additive composition, wherein the sum of the wt% of the homopolycarbonate, the polycarbonate including repeating units derived from a monomer including a pendant ester group, elastomer-modified graft copolymer including an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer, the aromatic vinyl copolymer including a styrene acrylonitrile copolymer, or a combination thereof, the non-fluorinated flame retardant, the optional styrene acrylonitrile copolymer, the optional poly(carbonate-siloxane), and the optional additive composition is 100 wt%, and wherein a sample of the composition has a LTL-94 flame test rating of V-0 at a thickness of 1.5 mm or thinner.
