Abstract
The invention relates to an X-ray detector module (1) with a scintillator plate (2), an array (3) of photodetectors (4) and processing electronics (5). The scintillator plate (2) has a front side (6) and a back side (7), and is configured to generate scintillator photons (11) upon interaction with an X-ray photon (10). The array (3) of photodetectors (4) is arranged at the back side (7) of the scintillator plate (2) and is configured to detect the scintillator photons (11) and to generate photon detection signals upon detection of the scintillator photons (11). The processing electronics (5) is configured to determine at least one center of at least one light cloud of the detected scintillator photons (11), respectively, by processing the photon detection signals and to output an X-ray detection signal based on the determined at least one center.
