Abstract

A fan drive gear system (48) for a turbine engine (20) includes a sun gear (66) configured to be driven by an engine shaft (40) that is rotatable about an axis (A), a plurality of intermediate gears (68) coupled to a first gear portion (78) of the sun gear (66), a ring gear (70) that is coupled to the plurality of intermediate gears (68), and a carrier (72) supporting rotation of the plurality of intermediate gears (68). A coupling shaft (76) is engaged to drive the sun gear (66) and includes a gear portion (78). An accessory component (62) is coupled to and driven by the gear portion (78) of the coupling shaft (76).
