Abstract

A localizing arrangement (1) for determining a current location of an active implantable device (3) during implantation in a patient's body (5) is described. The features of the localizing arrangement (1) are configured to:generating a magnetic field (7) wherein the magnetic field (7) is generated using a magnetic field generator (11);measuring a physical parameter of the generated magnetic field (7) correlating with a distance (d) between the implantable device (3) located within the patient's body and the counterpart device (9), wherein the physical parameter is measured using a magnetic field detector (13); anddetermining the current location of the implantable device (3) based on the measured physical parameter of the generated magnetic field (7).
