Abstract

This specification describes methods, apparatus, and/or computer programs for monitoring models in a communication network. According to a first aspect of this specification, there is described a terminal device comprising means for: processing first data using an active model of a plurality of models stored at the terminal device, to generate second data for use in a communication session with a communication network system; receiving, from a network device of the communication network system, configuration information indicative of measurement gap periods scheduled for neighbour cell measurements; buffering the first data; and processing the buffered first data using a candidate model of the plurality of models stored at the terminal device, and during a measurement gap period of the scheduled measurement gap periods, to generate respective third data for performance evaluation of the candidate model.
