Abstract

An expandable lavatory for full-size wheelchairs may comprise an aircraft lavatory door system with a forward door (35) and an aft door (36) wherein both doors are capable of expanding into an expanded locked position. The expandable lavatory for full-size wheelchairs may comprise a first single lavatory (21), a second single lavatory (22), a collapsible divider (37), and a lavatory door system which functions to provide a door to each single lavatory and a door for a configuration in which the two single lavatories convert into one expanded double lavatory. The expandable lavatory for full-size wheelchairs may be a forward lavatory facing the aisle in proximity to a first galley, a second galley, and a wheelchair tie down space.
