Abstract
The present invention relates to methods to improve the workability of a cementitious composition comprising calcined clay comprising a step of intergrinding and/or intermixing the at least one additive selected from polyvinyl imidazole, amides of sugar acids, and polymers consisting of repeating units derived from olefinically unsaturated polyethers with the at least one constituent of the cementitious composition. The present invention also relates to a cementitious composition comprising calcined clay and at least one additive selected from polyvinylimidazole, amides of sugar acids, and polymers consisting of repeating units derived from olefinically unsaturated polyethers.
