Abstract
A method and a system for optimizing the data retention time period in a video surveillance system. Based on geofencing data from users (1) of a surveillance zone (17) a data processing proposes changes to the length of the data retention time period, in dependence of detected duration non-occupation of the surveillance zone (17).
