Abstract

A noise filtering assembly (100) comprises at least one core ring (106) partially surrounding an insulator (104) and a plurality of positioning rings (110) disposed on an outer surface (112) of the insulator (104). Each core ring (106) defines a pair of opposing axial ends (116, 118) along a longitudinal axis (L-L) and has an inner diameter (ID) within a predetermined tolerance range (TR). Each axial end (116, 118) of each core ring (106) is disposed adjacent to an adjacent positioning ring (110). Each positioning ring (110) comprises at least one inclined outer surface (136) inclined at an oblique angle (θ) relative to the longitudinal axis (L-L). Within the predetermined tolerance range (TR) of the inner diameter (ID) of each core ring (106), each axial end of each core ring (106) partially and slidably contacts the at least one inclined outer surface (136) of the adjacent positioning ring (110).
