Abstract

An image forming apparatus (1) includes an apparatus body (1A) provided with an opening portion (9), an opening/closing member (20), a fixing unit (80), and a moving unit (140, 240). Movement of the fixing unit (80) from the first position to the second position is restricted in a state in which the opening/closing member (20) is positioned at the closed position and is allowed in a state in which the opening/closing member (20) is positioned at the open position. The moving unit (140, 240) includes a support portion (90, 190) configured to support the fixing unit (80) positioned at the second position such that the fixing unit (80) is attachable and detachable. The support portion (90, 190) extends in a longitudinal direction (LD) of the fixing unit (80) and supports the fixing unit (80) from below.
