Abstract
A video decoding device may obtain an entropy model residual indication associated with a slice and may determine a first entropy model based on the slice type associated with the slice. A second entropy model may be determined based on the first entropy model and the entropy model residual indication. The decoding device may entropy decode the slice based on the second entropy model. For example, the first entropy model may be a P model, a B model, an I model, or a low latency (LD) model, and the second entropy model may be a model different than the first entropy model. For example, the first entropy model may be a P model, a B model, or an LD model.
