Abstract

The drug delivery device (1) includes: a housing (11), a reservoir (15) configured for storing a medical product, an injection mechanism (2) configured for allowing injection of the medical product into an injection site, a pump unit (3) for pumping the medical product from the reservoir (15) and expelling this medical product towards the injection site, a motor unit (4) for driving the pump unit (3), and a movement converter (5) including a driving shaft (51) and coupled to the motor unit (4) and a coupling shaft (58) coupled to a piston (310) of the pump unit (3). The movement converter (5) is configured for converting a one-way rotation of the driving shaft (51) into a two-way rotation of the coupling shaft (58).
