Abstract
A plant (1) for the production of filter tubes, comprising feed means for feeding a succession of hollow tubular elements and a filter tip attachment machine (N) for combining, at a combiner drum (E), at least one filter segment with each hollow tubular element so as to form a respective group of segments. The plant (1) comprises an applicator device (G) operatively positioned downstream of the combiner drum (E) and configured to receive a web (S) unwound from an unwinding unit (A), to divide the web (S) into connecting strips and to apply each connecting strip in a flag-like manner on a respective group of segments. The plant (1) comprises an embossing unit (100), disposed at a position interposed between the unwinding unit (A) and the applicator device (G) along a feed path of the web (S) to print an embossing on said web (S).
