Abstract

A method of forming an aerosol generator of an article for an aerosol provision device. The method comprises a) providing a resistive heating layer having a first side and a second side, the resistive heating layer comprising an electrically conductive material (410); b) releasably fixing a backing layer on the second side (420); c) providing aerosol generating material on the first side (430); d) removing the backing layer (440); e) forming at least one heating element on the second side of the resistive heating layer aligned with the cut out (450), wherein the or each heating element extends from an electrical connection of a first type to an electrical connection of a second type.
