Abstract

An aerosol provision device for use with an aerosol generating material comprises a power source receiving portion and a removeable power source arranged within the power source receiving portion for supplying power for consumption by a component of the device. The aerosol provision device also comprises a cover arranged such that when in a closed position the cover closes an opening to the power source receiving portion, along with a locking mechanism arranged to hold the cover in the closed position. The device further comprises a user interface comprising a control member configured to control electrical operation of the device and is arranged to release the locking mechanism so as to allow the cover to move out of the closed position.
