Abstract

A method for surgical tracking and guidance comprising: accessing, by one or more data processors, a surgical data structure that includes a dimension associated with a plurality of discrete procedural states for a surgical procedure, including, in the surgical data structure, a plurality of nodes and a plurality of edges, each of the plurality of nodes being associated with one of the plurality of discrete procedural states for the surgical procedure and with a set of procedural metadata, and each of the plurality of edges connecting two nodes of the plurality of nodes; receiving, by one or more data processors, live surgical data for the surgical procedure; detecting, by one or more data processors, a component from the live surgical data; determining, by one or more data processors, a current node from the plurality of nodes of the surgical data structure based on the component from the live surgical data, wherein the current node is associated with one of the plurality of discrete procedural states; retrieving, by one or more data processors, from the surgical data structure, the set of procedural metadata associated with the current node; and transmitting the set of procedural metadata associated with the current node.
