Abstract

The present invention relates to a transport device and transport assembly for transporting objects to be fired into, through or out of a kiln, and uses thereof. The transport device comprising a housing having a rolling element aperture, at least two rolling elements, wherein the at least two rolling elements are rotatable within the housing and wherein the rolling elements are housed in the housing and a part of the rolling elements extends through the rolling element aperture beyond the bottom surface of the housing, such that, in use, the rolling elements rotate within the housing to transport the transport device along the surface along which the object to be fired in a kiln is to be transported. The transport assembly comprising a support element, and at least one transport device. A method of transporting objects to be fired in a kiln using the transport device and/or transport assembly is also provided.
