Abstract

A roof window (100) for installation in or on a roof surface having an inclination, comprising a primary frame (1), at least one secondary frame (2), and a lifting device (10) comprising a sledge (12), a sledge guide (13), a set of arms (14, 15, 16), and a spring assembly (11), wherein the spring assembly (11) is configured to be coupled to the sledge (12), and where the sledge guide (13) comprises a first rail (131) and a second rail (132), and where the sledge (13) and set of arms (14, 15, 16), are arranged between the first rail (131) and second rail (132), and where the lifting device further comprises a top bearing fitting (6) connecting the secondary frame (2) with the primary frame (1). The top bearing fitting (6) comprises a frame attachment section (6.1) for connecting the top bearing fitting (6) with the secondary frame (2), and a guide attachment section (6.2) for connecting the top bearing fitting (6) with the sledge guide, wherein the guide attachment section (6.2) is selectively attached to either one of the first rail (131), the second rail (132), or the first rail (131) and the second rail (132).
