Abstract

A machining path generation method includes preparing an assembly model that is a combination of a plurality of models including a first model obtained by modeling a first elongated member and a second model obtained by modeling a second elongated member. First identification processing is executed. The first identification processing includes identifying a second identifier that is an identifier of the second model in response to selection of the first model and the second model adjacent to the first model in the assembly model. A first machining path is generated. The first machining path includes a first engraving formation path for forming first laser beam engraving expressing a first identifier that is an identifier of the first model on the first elongated member and a second engraving formation path for forming second laser beam engraving expressing the second identifier identified by the first identification processing executed, on the first elongated member.
