Abstract

The present invention is related to a machine tool for machining a workpiece. The machine tool comprises a machine bed, a machine table mounted on the machine bed for mounting the workpiece thereon and a machine column mounted on the machine bed for mounting a spindle thereon, wherein the machine table is configured to be translationally moved horizontally in direction of a first linear axis (X) and to be swiveled about a first swivel axis (A) which is in parallel to the first linear axis, wherein the machine table is configured to rotate about a first rotation axis (B) perpendicular to the first swivel axis, wherein the spindle is configured to be translationally moved horizontally in direction of a second linear axis (Z) and vertically in direction of a third linear axis (Y) and rotated around a second rotation axis (C) in parallel to the second linear axis.
