Abstract

The boat propulsion device includes an engine, a propeller shaft, a transmission device, a rotating member, a non-rotating member, an elastic member, a housing, a housed member, and a pusher. The transmission device includes a drive gear and a driven gear. The rotating member rotates with the propeller shaft. The rotation of the non-rotating member is restricted. The elastic member exerts a force to cause the rotating member and the non-rotating member to contact each other. The housing has a first surface sloping from the center side toward the outer side in the radial direction. The housing rotates with the propeller shaft. The housed member contacts the first surface and is movable in the radial direction. The pusher has a first part contacting the housed member and a second part contacting one of the rotating member and the non-rotating member located on the other side in the axial direction.
