Abstract

The present invention relates to a seal cartridge (100) for sealing an interface between an opening (52) in a vessel (50) and a rotary shaft (12) of an agitator system (10). The seal cartridge (100) comprises a cartridge housing (102) comprising a radially outer surface (105) configured to abut an inwardly facing surface (22) of a bearing housing (20) for radially supporting the seal cartridge (100) in the bearing housing (20). The seal cartridge (100) comprises an inlet and an outlet flush fluid connector (150, 160) configured to pass a flush fluid for flushing an interface between a non-rotary sealing element (122) and a rotary sealing element (124) of a rotary seal (120). A connection section (154, 164) of one or more of the inlet and outlet flush fluid connector (150, 160) is movable between a flush position (FP) in which the connection section (154, 164) extends radially beyond a footprint area (FA) defined by the radially outer surface (105), and a service position (SP) in which the connection section (154, 164) is radially inside of the footprint area (FA). An agitator system (10), a mixing arrangement (1) and methods (200, 300, 400) system are also provided.
