Abstract
A method for generating a modified spin echo sequence (MSPES) is described. According to the method, a spin echo sequence (SPES) which includes irradiation of excitation RF pulses (EP) exciting the nuclear spins and irradiation of refocusing RF pulses (RP) inverting the excited nuclear spins, is performed. Further, the irradiation phase (θ<exc>) of the excitation RF pulses (EP) exciting the nuclear spins is changed according to a non-linear function (NLF) of a k-space line index of the spin echo sequence (SPES). Besides this, a method for carrying out magnetic resonance imaging with a spin echo sequence (SPES) of an examination portion is described. Further, a sequence generating device (52) is described. Also a magnetic resonance imaging system (50) is described.
