Abstract

A computer system (100; 800) for privilege-based battery pack data transmission, the computer system (100; 800) comprising processing circuitry (102; 802) configured to authenticate a portable client device (10) in response to said portable client device (10) being within an identifiable distance (d) of a battery pack (20); based on the authentication, obtain a privilege level (12) of the portable client device (10), wherein the obtained privilege level (12) indicates battery pack data (30) allowed to be transmitted from the battery pack (20) to the portable client device (10); and cause wireless transmission of said battery pack data (30) from the battery pack (20) to the portable client device (10) based on the obtained privilege level (12).
