Abstract
A design for the water chamber of the Moka coffee maker where blades spiral up and around the side wall of the chamber, where fins are perpendicular to the base of the water chamber and protrude vertically from the side wall, where protrusions spiral up and around the side wall of the water chamber, as each protrusion is slightly offset in one direction from the protrusion directly below it, or where a sleeve can be retrofitted and slid over a conventional Moka coffee maker water chamber, wherein the sleeve has blades, fins or protrusions. Such kind of water chamber or sleeve improves the thermal absorption properties of the Moka coffee maker and reduces the coffee preparation time, especially when a gas stove is used. An application of the fin heat exchange thermodynamic principle to the Moka Coffee water chamber.
