Abstract
A wearable device (10) comprises a vessel sensor (11) configured to perform measurements (Td,Tp) on a blood vessel (V) for determining a size (D) of the blood vessel (V). A pressure device (12) is configured to controllably apply an external pressure (Px) on a body part for affecting the size (D) of the blood vessel (V). An attachment means (13) is configured to hold the vessel sensor (11) and the pressure device (12) against a respective skin surface (S) of the body part so that the size (D) of the blood vessel (V), as measured by the vessel sensor (11), is affected by the external pressure (Px) applied by the pressure device (12) on the body part. A processor (14) is configured to process the measurements (Td,Tp) as affected by the external pressure (Px).
