Abstract

A computer system comprising processing circuitry is provided. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain amplitude values of electrical current (70) from at least one energy storage system (40) of a vehicle (10), determine a rate of change of the current (72) at least based on said values of electrical current (70), obtain vehicle data (50), obtain reference data (71) based on said vehicle data (50), determine load characterization data (74) based on the determined current rate change (72) and the reference data (50), and control the opening of a switching device (35) of the energy storage system (40) based on said determined load characterization data (74).
