Abstract

A strapping device (100) is described, comprising a tensioning apparatus (1) with a tensioning wheel (11) for tensioning a strap (S) around one or more articles, a joining apparatus (2) with a joining jaw (21) for joining two overlapping portions (Sl, Su) of the strap, a first actuating device (14) comprising a first motor (141) and operatively connected to the tensioning apparatus, a second actuating device (24) comprising a second motor (241) and operatively connected to the joining apparatus, wherein the first actuating device is, driven by the first motor, configured to lower and raise the tensioning wheel between an open position and an active position with respect to a tensioning base (12), and the second actuating device is, driven by the second motor, configured to lower and raise the joining jaw between an open position and an active position with respect to a joining base (22).
