Abstract
The invention relates to a container for storing thermal energy, a method for producing a container for storing thermal energy, a thermal energy storage device and a system are provided. The container for storing thermal energy, comprises or consists of at least one wall defining an internal space of the container, a phase change material located in the internal space of the container and a gas located in the internal space of the container, characterized in that the gas in the internal space of the container has a higher thermal conductivity than air and the internal space of the container is sealed from an external space of the container in a gas-tight manner. The container for storing thermal energy according to the invention has an improved heat transfer property and a higher long-term stability.
